The short-term diffusive sampler is based on the same principle as the 1-week sampler.

The sampler is suitable for checking compliance with short–term limits for 8 and 24 hours. The main application is idicative measurement of of the 8-hours limit value to identify critical zones and the assessment ofpersonal exposure for epidemiological studies.

The figure shows the result of an intercomparison of integrated ozone methods in the Euopean Alps. The results are averaged over 6 monitoring sites at various heights from 100 to 1780 m above sea level [3].
