Results of air pollution measurements are recommended to be primarily produced in the form of maps with the following goals:

• Provision of accurate maps to the public.
• Quantification of risks e.g. exposure, threshold exceedance
• Classification of zones
• Representativeness of air quality monitoring stations

Figure 1 show a grid over the city of Shiraz (Iran)

Figure 2 shows the resulting NO2-map based on 165 moitoring sites over the city. The map allows the selection of representaitve site for installing fixed continuous air monitoring stations
