A city grid can be constructed in order to identify the critical zones or hot spots. The sampling sites’ density depends on both the topographic situation and the desired information.

Figure 2 shows the results from a NO2 grid over the city of Lima. The hot spots are in the mountainous area, whereas the areas near the sea are less afflicted
